NJCS CHANTEURS

NJCS "Chanteurs" is an ensemble of 16-24 NJCS members who provide musical entertainment in the community, bringing music and joy to those who enjoy choral music but may be unable to attend our concerts. The group performs at local libraries, hospitals, non-profit events, meetings, and parties. With repertory consisting of Holiday and Pops music, the Chanteurs can be booked for a variety of events for all age levels. The NJCS Chanteurs have recently performed at the following venues: Mahwah Library, West Caldwell Library and Valley Hospital.
Chanteurs is directed by Jill Guartafierro and accompanied by Caroline Parody.

Please Contribute to our Concert Food Drives

In support of the Center for Food Action, the New Jersey Choral Society is collecting nonperishable food items (soups, sauces, tuna, peanut butter, mac and cheese, hot or cold·cereals, canned fruits or vegetables, boxed or dry milk) at each concert. Donated food items can be deposited in one of the receptacles in the lobby. The Center for Food Action is a non-profit organization that provides emergency food, rental and utility assistance, counseling and advocacy for people in need.
Thank you for your help with this important need in our community! For more information about the mission of the Center for Food Action, visit www.cfanj.org.
NJCS CARES
The Off to Oz concerts in March 2011 concluded with an introduction to "NJCS Cares", an initiative to show financial support for a charitable organization through donations from the audience and choristers. At the end of each concert characters from the Land of Oz, including Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, the Cowardly Lion, and Glinda, were in the lobby with collection baskets for donations to Autism Speaks, the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
