Dear Friends,
As we embark on our 30^th Anniversary Season we invite you to share the impassioned spirit of the New Jersey Choral Society.  The chorus continues to chart its excellence of performance to new heights!  I am excited for our season to begin and to experience this journey with you and the singers.  Often I think of NJCS like the first light. Their voices seem to emerge out of a dark and empty void as they create a sound that shimmers like an abstract painting. The audience is greeted with the intricate depths and nuances of song that are my greatest joy to share with you. If you can imagine complete bliss, then you will have the essence of our Anniversary Season.  For 30 years NJCS has been sharing the gift of music with audiences far and near.  I hope you will join us this season and be inspired by great music.

Throughout THE ANNIVERSARY SEASON, NJCS will present the following unique musical events:

• Cabaret - October 15 & 16, 2010 – An all-star cast of NJCS singers perform highlights from Pajama Game, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, and Oklahoma!

• Peace on Earth* - December 4, 5 & 12, 2010 – Our holiday concert features Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G minor and seasonal selections

• Café Music - February 26, 2011 - NJCS Patron Celebration honoring our accompanist, Linda Sweetman-Waters

• Off to Oz*– March 19 & 20, 2011 – The annual Pops concert takes a trip down the yellow brick road with music from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz and Wicked

• Legacy* – June 3 & 4, 2011 – To conclude the season, we present Dvorák’s Mass in D major and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms

• Sydney Opera House - July 12-21, 2011 - Singers from NJCS will join the North American Festival Chorus & Orchestra in a performance of John Rutter’s Mass of the Children
