Dear Friends of NJCS,

It is with regret and sadness that we are writing to let you know that the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Choral Society has decided to postpone its scheduled June 13th performance of To Everything There is a Season until the Masterworks concert in 2021. Many factors have gone into this decision - whether we would have the time to prepare the quality performance that is the hallmark of NJCS, whether our rehearsal and performance venues would be able to host us, and, of course, the governor’s recent extension of the emergency order.

We urge you to keep up with NJCS through its social media sites throughout the spring and summer where we will continue to post information about NJCS, links to interesting articles, videos and recordings and the occasional humorous cartoon or meme. We will be sending along information about auditions towards the end of the summer season and hope that you will consider joining the NJCS family.

We look forward to seeing a light at the end of this dark tunnel not only for NJCS, but for all of us. A return to some semblance of normal will be most welcome and we anticipate the day when we can gather and make beautiful music together once again and then share it with all of you.

The author, George Eliot, once wrote, "Life seems to go on without effort when I am filled with music." So, be safe, be well, and fill your days with music.
