Accessibility/DEAI
NJCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion or disability in membership or access to its services, programs or activities. NJCS is committed to increasing and expanding the diversity of its membership, artistic staff and patrons, including those individuals with disabilities. NJCS seeks to support the ADA provisions specified by law, but also to remove attitudinal, programmatic and physical barriers to individuals with disabilities.
While laws mandate equal access, NJCS makes it a priority to establish a rehearsal and performance environment that embraces the spirit of the law ensuring an optimal experience for all. NJCS has a designated ADA Coordinator to facilitate compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), as required by Section 35.107 of the U.S. Department of Justice regulations, and to coordinate compliance with Sections 504 & 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Reasonable accommodation will be provided to allow individuals with a disability to participate in NJCS services, programs and activities with two-week advance notice. NJCS offers large print and assistive listening devices at concerts on a first come, first served basis. Three discounted companion seats are guaranteed with the purchase of each ticket for patrons with disabilities. Contact us at 201.273.9027 or e-mail music@njcs.org with questions or requests.
